“Opportunities multiply as they are seized." Proverb
The most incredible opportunities of my life came right after I had to DO something...usually work...always something that was inconvenient.
When the boys were young we enrolled them in private school. I would go up to the school and work as often as I could. I cleaned the bathrooms, I read with students, I vacuumed...etc.
One day the principal called me and said there was an opening for me to be paid to do what I loved...being with the boys! I was hired to teach 1st grade.
EVERY opportunity that has come my way...has been AFTER I put forth effort to help someone else or be a blessing to someone.
Look around you...there are AMAZING opportunities that await you... RIGHT AFTER you step up to help someone else.
#1. Ask God to help you recognize an opportunity that will mean work at first...but GREAT reward after.
#2. Opportunity will require discipline. There are times I think to myself, "Oh wow! NOT FUN...Lord do I REALLY need to help that with THAT?" Then I remember the Scripture, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men..." Colossians 3:23.
#3. Thank God that He brought the opportunity because you know it means He will bless you after! Sometimes I get teary-eyed while I'm working because I know how faithful God has been to me and I'm thankful He keeps giving me opportunities to be blessed!

Great reminder today to "recognize the opportunity." That's not always easy to do is it? The thing I see in you Marla is you are a possibility and opportunity visionary. You are a dreamer but most importantly you are a DO-er. What an inspiration you are.
