Okay...that made me laugh. We have our own very special name...how cool is that? Not too crazy about the "typical" but its up to each of us individually, to break that mold. : )
shop, put groceries away, prepare food, do dishes, sweep, mop, help with homework,
referee, encourage, discipline, cheer, listen, talk, plan...some homeschool, some work 40+ hours a week...are you kidding me?
I need a jacuzzi bath just from writing that list much less doing it! (And that doesn't include the wifey stuff!)
I know they say we have like half a million words and men have 2 or something like that. That would mean, we have stuff to chat about...and men might not have the time. I just want to take a minute as your online BFF and tell you I think you are incredible! I'm not sure if the kids have brought you flowers lately or sat you down to tell you how much they appreciate you...but they do.
My first year of marriage, I remember calling my mom, crying, and saying..."Thank you mom for all you did for me." Let's see, I was 20 years old. (Whew, that's a lot of thankless years for a ma!) I apologized for bad attitudes and any stress I may have caused. I just reflected on all that she sacrificed for me...all those years.
I want to encourage you...you are not alone...we are all in this together! And your fellow soccer mom bffs think you ROCK! Be encouraged to be the most amazing SOCCER MOM on the planet!

TV/Family Room Day!
Smile while your cleaning! I know it sounds crazy but it does help your attitude. Find a time when your whole family is together in the family/tv room (now that it is cleaner because you focus on it one day a week) and light a candle where they can see it burning. Candles are not only relaxing, they smell good and they are great examples of doing "something a little extra" for your family. My boys laugh about my candle lighting...but one day they will remember how mom took a little extra time to make the MOST of our time together!
