I responded, "Wait, take a deep breath. God hears your cry. He knows the answer we cannot see. Trust Him and DON'T GIVE UP...now, let's back up a minute."
We started at the top of her list and went back down, only this time, we talked about HOPEFUL options. She stopped crying. As soon as she changed her thoughts...she felt hope again!
I am reminded of Philippians 4:8,9 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me-practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."
NEVER LET YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES DETERMINE YOUR HAPPINESS!
I Kings 11:38 says, "If you listen to what I tell you and live the way I show you and do what pleases me, following directions and obeying orders as my servant David did, I'll stick with you no matter what. I'll build you a kingdom as solid as the one I built for David. Israel will be yours! I am bringing pain and trouble on David's descendants, but the trials won't last forever."1. Read a passage from the Bible every day (How else are you going to know what God wants you to do?).
2. Go to church. (Surround yourself with people who are trying to live for God and follow His Word.)
3. Be faithful and WAIT! Your circumstances WILL change or God is a liar...God is NOT a liar!
One of the best Scriptures I ever memorized was Philippians 4:8...I quote it when my thoughts are taking me down a road of hopelessness! God helps me to keep my chin up and wait in anticipation for GOOD things!

Favored Friend Tip...
Explore recipes in the kitchen to encourage your children to eat healthy.
If your kids are eating unhealthy food, they will put on extra weight and they won't feel good. Make sure they get one fruit or veggie every day! They are suppose to eat WAY more than that...but start somewhere : )
Share your secret! How do you get your child to eat fruits and veggies?
Marla's answer: I made a rule to stop buying those cheap snack cakes...sure the kids loved them but they ate them instead of fruits...now when they crave something sweet, we have flavored applesauce, bananas, peaches, etc. We love to meet in the kitchen for yummy fruit smoothies! Everyone picks their flavor and we enjoy a sweet moment together!
