HAPPY MONDAY TO YOU BFFs!
Don't do life alone...everybody needs somebody, sometime!
I've heard women say, "I just don't have a bff." (Best Friend Forever)
Well, here's the deal. I hope you don't mind but since we're here...let's be BFFs!
The first thing you need to resolve is what your expectations of a bff are...THIS IS HUGE!
First, let's talk about what a bff IS NOT...I've made a Top 10:
First, let's talk about what a bff IS NOT...I've made a Top 10:
1. A BFF is NOT GOD.
2. A BFF is not responsible to make you feel good.
3. A BFF does not OWE you anything...EVER.
4. My personal opinion: Aside from a celebration, BFFs should always go "dutch" when they have coffee or a meal together.
5. A BFF is not at your beck and call.
6. A BFF does not have to drop everything EVERY time you have drama.
7. A BFF does not choose you over their husband and children.
8. A BFF does not always take EVERYone of your calls.
9. A BFF does not have to meet you or see you on a schedule or regularly.
10. A BFF does not always say what they are thinking.
Soooo, having said that, here's a Top 10 of what a bff is:
1. A BFF hurts when you hurt.
2. BFFs laugh together.
3. BFFs love one another unconditionally.
4. BFFs forgive quickly.
5. BFFs look for opportunities to constantly encourage one another.
6. BFFs look for the good in one another and never criticize.
7. BFFs are great listeners.
8. BFFs always treat each other with respect.
9. BFFs are careful with their words...be positive.
10. BFFs pray for one another.
Most likely you are surrounded by people who could be your BFFs. If you have a friend who is super busy and you would like more BFF time than she can give, find more BFFs! You don't have to take her off your BFF list just because she's busy! Don't complain because she's busy. Encourage her and look forward to the next time you can be together. In the meantime, enjoy your time with your other BFFs. You can learn something from everyone. Enjoy the different people in your life.
One more thing, don't wait for people to rescue you. They will let you down...they can't help it, they are people. ALWAYS ask God to help you. Ask Him to show you people you can bless. Look for opportunities to encourage someone else and in turn, YOU YOURSELF will be encouraged!
Last week I had lunch with one bff...Danna! She is one amazing chick! She owns several restaurants and is quite the businesswoman!

By the way, if you are ever in Branson...stop and eat her amazing bbq! Tell her I sent you and you may get a free dessert....or....you may have to pay double. Good luck with that! LOL

Send a friend a gift today... it doesn't have to cost anything. Just call her, text her or email her and tell her you are thinking about her and praying for her! That's the best gift you can give!
FAVORED HOMES:
Well, since I started telling you about my chores, my house is a little cleaner. I need to thank you for holding me accountable just by reading this blog. : ) I hope your schedule is working out for you! I hope your home looks and functions EXACTLY like you want it to, if it doesn't...please don't quit. Try again TODAY!
I also hope you understand that the reason I even mention HOUSEKEEPING at all....is not because it is the most important thing in the world or because we have nothing else to do. It's really not about the house. It's about keeping order so you have one less area of stress in your life! We have enough on our plates without constantly looking for misplaced items or having to kick through junk on the floor to get somewhere in our house.
Besides, if you are proud of your home, you can invite your new BFFs for coffee!
FINDING FAVOR:
I Kings 3:28 "And all Israel heard of the judgment that the king had rendered, and they stood in awe of the king, because they perceived that the wisdom of God was in him to do justice."
WOW! Earlier in that same chapter 3...you see King Solomon's only prayer was for wisdom to govern the people. Chapter 3:13 says that God was pleased at his request. His request was for the benefit of the people, not himself. God then, gave him wealth and honor "so that no other king shall compare with you, all your days."
Pray for wisdom in how you deal with PEOPLE. This is God's heart...people. If you are in ANY type of leadership...a mom, at work, at church...etc ask God for wisdom in leading His people.
I love that the people "STOOD IN AWE" because they perceived that He had the wisdom of God to do justice.
Let us be "just" leaders. We must ask God to help us. And He will.
What do you like to do with your bffs?
My answer: Meet for coffee at a nice, quiet coffee house. I like Dino's Cafe in Downtown Branson and sometimes Books A Million's Cafe, and of course, Starbucks.
I have friends who like to go to several antique shops in town. They spend the day antique shopping.
Other friends like to go to the mall together.
Some friends like to play Bunco...what do you like to do?
