Finding Family...

Today I am awaiting a phone call.  It was just over 2 years ago that I found out I had a brother.  He is 6 years older than I am.   His mother had passed away and he found his birth certificate with my father's last name.  Apparently, a few years before my father met my mother...there was another relationship in which this really great guy was the result.

He searched and found my father on the internet.  It is an awesome story.  Since our first connection we have celebrated several holidays together and talk on the phone often.

This year we found a cousin that we have not seen in over 30 years.  Now, the reunited cousins have searched and found another cousin.  We have left a message on their voicemail to please call us and now we must wait.  I will be blogging our search as it goes!  Please pray with us and I look forward to sharing more of this adventure with you as soon as I can!

Wednesday - Kitchen & 1 Load of Laundry

This week our kitchen chores should seem a little easier.  This is our 2nd time to tackle them.  In case you don't remember here's a quick review:

1.  Remember the rule - Never go to bed with dirty dishes in the sink
2.  Wash down every appliance - Stovetop, Oven, Microwave, Dishwasher, Refrigerator
3.  Bleach out the fridge
4.  Organize the pantry
5.  Mop the floor

Remember to try and spend only one hour on the house each day. (SET A TIMER) It will give you more time for your hubby, your kids, a hot bath & maybe even a good book!


School is cancelled again today...so the kids are home : )  Snow days are few and far between...if your kids are home, I'm thinking we need to do some light cleaning and spend time with them.  One day we will have LOTS of time to clean and the kids will be leading busy lives.

2010 is HERE!  God is going to give us ALL the strength we need.  He will help us and I love that He holds us with MORE than just His hand...it is his VICTORIOUS hand!   Victory is on the way...be prepared!  This year is gonna be a GOOD YEAR!
